I've seen the author on Tv and infomercials and he doesn't do very well when asked questions about presenting scientific evidence to back up various claims, as opposed to anecdotal evidence. However, I wanted to examine his claims for myself so I took a look at this latest book. FYI, I am a published author of science/medical health books and understand full well the necessities of proof corroboration and the implications of medical claims, terms etc.
First off, he makes the preposterous claim that ALL medicines CAUSE DISEASE, 100% guaranteed, even "aspirin"! Not that tens of thousands of people have been taking aspirin for decades now and it's actually extended their lifespan due to cardiac disease mitigation. But that's another story.
After blasting medicines, he then introduces his utterly perfect diet with the instructions that you're to take injections of HCG!? For those unfamiliar, HCG (human choriogonadtropin) is the hormone women have elevated levels of during pregnancy, and it's what causes the little pregnancy test kit strip to turn blue. Oh and by the way, HCG is also an oncofetal growth hormone which has been found in higher concentrations in many human cancer tissues.
While I'd be really leery about taking aspirin or any other 'dangerous' drug, I shouldn't have any issues with injecting myself with HCG??
In addition to HCG, the author mentions a diet that consists of 500 daily calories of food. I believe that people in captivity have been fed more than 500 calories a day. In any case, anyone who eats 500 calories a day will rapidly lose weight, HCG or not.
Just to spice things up, the author highly advises people to take enemas, unclog their liver (what the heck's a "clogged" liver anyway?) and do a lot of other weird stuff that has little to do with sensible dieting. I'm wondering if his frequent references to a website link for additional information (which keep popping up like an irritating billboard on the highway) might just perhaps expose the author's true intentions?
Don't waste one red cent on this utterly ridiculous book. Try limiting your fat intake, eat organic whole foods and vegetables, eliminate junk carbs, eat more frequently and exercise alot. That's the 'secret' to losing weight---which isn't really a 'secret' at all.

I have read his book, and followed the HCG program. It definitely works and works well. (19 lbs in 25 days & feel great, not hungry - you could too!) You don't have to purchase HCG through him. You can purchase HCG at many websites. I purchased HCG somewhere other than through him, but then read his book which is a must read with the progrqam. Just check it out. I had used HCG many many years ago (34 years)and it worked then as it has now, only then I did not receive the Phase 3 & Phase 4 help that is offered in his book. You can also find Dr. Simeons original manuscript online. This is the only, best & safest diet to use. What he says is true. This is not expensive to do. You don't necessarily have to purchase the products he offers. Don't judge it till you try it. Use your heads for heaven's sake!

My husband, daughter, and I did this program and had amazing results. Sure we only lost 25-30lbs. but feel wonderful, and have been able to go off from prescription meds with amazing bloodwork results. Kevin Trudeau has come across a "cure" that he researched and knew without a doubt it was successful thousands of times over, and had the resourses to let everybody now about it so why wouldn't you give it a try? Ok so he is not the most trustworthy person in the world but he did happen to come across a REAL FIND and I am forever grateful to him for sharing it. If you research hcg weight loss yourselves you will find people who have used it clear back in the '70's with spectacular results and would do it again because of weight gained from surgeries, pregnancies, or eating toxic foods and taking toxic meds. It's truely amazing. DON'T knock it until you try it. A true review comes from someone who not only read the book but put it to work.

THIS BOOK IS A JOKE! I SAW THE GUY ON TV AND HE ACTED LIKE THERE WAS JUST SOMETHING YOU COULD BUY AT THE STORE, HE IS A LIAR AND A JERK, ALL HE IS TRYING TO DO IS SELL HIS BOOKS DECIEVING PEOPLE, THIS BOOK IS REDICULOUS.
THERE ARE A MILLION THINGS YOU HAVE TO DO, ENEMAS, GIVE YOURSELF SHOTS, SURE, THATS SOMETHING EVERYONE WOULD OR COULD DO, THIS BOOK SHOULDN'T BE SOLD IN MY OPINION, YOUR WASTING YOUR MONEY IF YOU BUY THIS BOOK, IT WILL BE THE FIRST THING IN THE FIRE PLACE THIS WINTER IF I DON'T DITCH IT FIRST, I WOULDN'T EVEN GIVE IT TO SOMEONE ELSE, ITS DANGEROUS....INFORMATION.

I started the Weight Loss Cure phase one around the end of August '07. I went organic like the book told me to! I went through the house reading all the labels on my food. I threw almost all of it out immediately! The real kicker was that the stuff i thought was okay turned out to be THE WORST! Sure enough, I withdrew from processed food like a drug addict withdraws from drugs! I started at 297 disgusting pounds at the beginning of phase 2 on 10-19-07. I now weigh 261.4 as of 11-12-07 WITH CHEATING (mostly an extra apple, 20 more grams of meat at a meal, the worst cheat was a brownie, and a piece of peach cobbler{p.s. the brownie and cobbler didn't taste very good anymore} and it cost me a few days of weight loss, NO GAIN)!. The more that comes off, the less I wanna cheat. I'll be doing 3 six week rounds of HCG (per the DOCTOR who prescribed it). I have more energy then I've had in years. When I eat an organic meal, I feel energized instead of tired and run down. I've completely changed the way I eat. This country is in big trouble. Wanna loose bigtime? Believe what you see on TV, and in newspapers and magazines. Keep eating genetically altered, processed, 'sugared' down food. Trust chain restaurants and food corporations. Keep obeying ads that sell u food. Trudeau is a hero. Don't write me back saying that I'm loosing weight too fast! I'm doing this under the supervision of my primary Doc, not the one that writes HCG for me. Its the bad weight being released. Not structural fat. I'm not lost either. I'm a 4th year paramedic student with 91 science college credits who will be going for his license in March. Cholesterol and triglycerides are now at normal levels! My skin is keeping up just fine. I feel like a balloon with a slow leak. Yes, HCG was expensive. So was going out to eat at chain restuarnts and buying processed, sugared down food. Yes, organic is more expensive, but I'm energised instead of being run down.
